What is recorded here
Largysillagh Enclosure is a circular fort in County Donegal, Ireland, marked clearly on the first edition Ordnance Survey map but reduced to a faint suggestion on later versions. The stone ring still stands where surveyors once drew it without hesitation. Later hands hesitated, perhaps because the land itself resisted easy measurement. A place that disappears from official maps may be asserting its own rules of visibility.
Monument is indicated as a circular enclosure with designation 'Fort' on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map but only partially indicated on latest ed. OS 6-inch map.
