Partially collapsed early 19th century 2-storey house; rectangular in plan (long axis E-W) on elevated site overlooking Bandon river to S. Named 'River View' on 1842 OS 6-inch map; indicated in ruins on 1942 OS 6-inch map. Entrance front (E) with number of slit windows; windows asymetrically set; central projecting rectangular 2-storey tower with narrow slit windows, one with ogee-head; pointed brick-arched door. Tower incorporates stone spiral stairs. Similar central projection to rear. Burnt in 1920s. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
