Indicated is a circular earthen fort on a Mayo rise, its bank reduced to a scarp on the east but still holding a broad platform above the Gweestion River. Cattle have worn narrow gaps around the perimeter, yet hazel, hawthorn and blackthorn still ring the edge like a living boundary. The fort does not demand belief; it shows the shape of human time, with another rath waiting a short distance south and the land rolling out in every direction.

In pasture, located on a rise, straddling the break of slope on the NE side. Good views over the surrounding undulating landscape. The Gweestion River is 600m to S. Raised circular platform (43m N−S; 39m E−W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.4-1.7m at SW), which is enhanced by the natural slope and is largely reduced to a scarp (H 1.7m at NE) on the E arc. The scarp serves as a field boundary at SE−SW. The interior slopes down from centre to NE and E. A gap (Wth 2m) at ESE may be an original entrance. On the N side of the gap there is a marked dip in ground level in the rath interior. There is also a break (Wth 2.5m) at NNW and a number of small, narrow gaps have been eroded by cattle around the perimeter. A field boundary (shown on 1931 OS 6-inch map) that merged with the rath at NE−E has been removed. The rath perimeter is ringed with hazel, hawthorn and blackthorn trees.
