Terraced three-bay three-storey over basement house, built c. 1830. Hipped slate roof behind parapet, clay ridge and hip tiles, red brick corbelled chimneystack, stone coping to parapet, cast-iron hopper and circular downpipe. Painted brick walling laid in Flemish bond to north elevation, smooth rendered walling to basement, chamfered stone plinth course. Square-headed window openings, painted smooth rendered patent reveals, painted stone sills, uPVC sliding sash windows. Round-headed door opening, painted stone block-and-start surround, spoked fanlight, painted timber door with eleven raised-and-fielded panels, limestone threshold and entrance platform approached by nine limestone steps, smooth rendered plinth wall, tooled limestone coping to west. House set back slightly from road, basement area bounded to north by smooth rendered wall accessed through metal gate.

This finely proportioned house, built as one of a pair with its neighbour to the east, plays a positive role on the streetscape. The original doorcase survives with intricate fanlight detailing and panelled door, the flight of limestone steps which approach the doorway create an elegant and formal entrance into this attractive house which is a valuable addition to the architectural balance of this terrace.
