What is recorded here
Grave Yd. is a D-shaped graveyard in County Laois where St. Molua founded a monastery in the late sixth or early seventh century. The boundary wall still holds romaneshque stones with roll moulding and a chevron, suggesting they came from an older church now lost. Most headstones are modern, but the place has been called the meadow of the grave since Molua first laid out the monastery at Kyle.
