Orthostat 28 in the W tomb at Knowth carries Brec and oic in majuscule, yet BREQBIOS in ogham on the same stone. That is not a mistaken duplicate; it is a name tested in two scripts. Six stones in the E passage of Tomb 1 and one stone in the W tomb preserve sixteen cursive or uncial inscriptions, so Knowth becomes a place where identity was made visible before it was forgotten.

There are 16 inscriptions (ME019-030092-) in cursive or uncial lettering engraved on six stones in the E passage of Tomb 1 at Knowth and two similar inscriptions on a single stone in the W tomb. Orthostat 28 in the W tomb has the name ‘Brec’ and ‘oic’ inscribed in majuscule, but this stone also has the name BREQBIOS in ogham (ME019-030089-).
