Ogham stone in Knockshanawee

One of six ogham stones (also CO072-078003-, CO072-078004-, CO072-078005-, CO072-078006-, CO072-078007-) used in the construction of a Man-made underground passage (CO072-078002-). Discovered in 1910 and now on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork (See CO074-135----). This stone (1.8m; 0.8m x 0.25m), the eighth lintel, is missing its top. The surviving part of the inscription is given by Power (1932, 24, no. 28) and McManus (2004, 15, no. 3) as COLLI, and by Macalister (1945, 116, no. 117) as COLLOS.
