Fortification in Knockavroe is a fortification in Knockavroe, County Roscommon, Ireland. A fort at this location was re-used in the 16th century troubles and lost by a Capt. Greene O'Mulloy, presumably to rebels, by 1596. There is no fort as such in the townland and the barrow is too small, but perhaps the nearby trivallate ringfort in Lisserdrea is meant, which might account for the outer banks.
