The fairy fort or ringfort in Knockavannia is in County Waterford, Ireland. The 1999 inventory recorded a circular embanked enclosure about 45 metres across, marked on the 1840 Ordnance Survey map and situated in pasture on a gentle northwest-facing slope with buildings immediately to the north. That same account stated the site was not visible at ground level.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is encumbered by buildings at NW. Situated in pasture on a gentle NW-facing slope with buidings immediately to the N. It is not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
