What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen fort in West Cork pasture, thirty metres across and still standing with a stone-faced bank, a silted ditch, and a southwest gap wide enough for a cart or a fleeing person. It belongs to the long human layer of Ireland, where ordinary families built rings for livestock, shelter and pride before written history arrived. The fairies may have taken it later, but people lived inside first.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (31m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.5m) N->SW, stone faced in parts; scarp elsewhere; with silted-up external fosse.
