What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined oval cairn on a low Mayo hill, its forty-three boulders still marking the edge of a chamber Wilde opened in 1872. Hazel and scrub crowd the interior now, turning the ancient stone into a green mystery rather than a neat display. The pasture above and shadowed ditch below suggest people once watched the land from that same summit, while death and memory waited beneath the kerb.

On the summit of a low hill, in pasture. S of extensive area of hazel and scrub, 500m W of cairn (MA121-089----). Poorly preserved remains of an oval-shaped cairn (diam. 18m N-S; H 1m) delimited by 43 boulders representing kerbing. Covered cist (MA121-085002-); investigated by Wilde, (1872, 224).
