Garve Yard holds the remains of Kilsany, now called Kilshine, inside rectangular masonry walls spanning forty-five metres north to south and thirty east to west. Its circular font left the graveyard and now stands at St. Columba’s Church of Ireland in Kells, carrying water and memory away from the buried parish. The yard keeps its shape while losing one of its vessels, a small subtraction that makes the remaining stones feel more deliberate.

The parish church of Kilsany, now called Kilshine (ME012-038----) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 45m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by masonry walls. The circular font (ME0123-038002-) from this site is now at St. Columba’s Church of Ireland church, in Kells (ME017-044040-). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 23 May, 2014
