Indicated is a ruined fairy fort in County Mayo, marked on maps from 1838 and 1916 but now reduced to a stony scarp and thistle shadows beside a working farm. The railway vibrates beneath it, farm buildings crowd its western edge, and wet boggy ground waits to the southwest. It is not a grand monument, but a forgotten circle where human hands, fairy legend and modern use still tangle together.

In rough ground, with a farmyard immediately to W, located on a low natural rise, overlooking an expanse of rolling pasture to NE; views are restricted to S and W by buildings and trees; there is wet boggy ground to SW. A railway track is located a few meters to S. A circular embanked enclosure is indicated on the 1838 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. The remains consist of a roughly circular area (diam. c. 27-30m) defined W–NNE by a dilapidated stony rise or scarp; at E–SW the outline can be traced only as a cropmark/concentration of thistles. A post and wire fence, on a NE–SW axis, crosses the E third of the enclosure. There are farm buildings immediately to W and N–NNE.
