Graveslab in Kilteel Upper is a fragment of a coffin-shaped slab with two hollow mouldings along the chamfered edges and a raised stem up the centre, probably from the 13/14 century. It emerged during conservation work outside the south wall of the nave of Kilteel church, suggesting an older burial marker once lay hidden beside the building. The plain stem and shaped edge sound like a local craftsman’s careful work for someone remembered just off the main church floor.
