Grave Yard

Grave Yard is a small stone-walled enclosure on the southern edge of a narrow valley in County Kildare, still used for burial though its earliest legible markers date to the nineteenth century. It sits beside a ruined church holding three cross slabs and a font fragment, near Toberkevin holy well and an old laneway that may have joined the Naas to Glendalough pilgrimage route. Trees now overgrow the square ground, making the place feel less like a recorded site and more like a forgotten chamber waiting to be remembered.
