What is recorded here

One chamber is five metres long with two breathing holes, the other twenty-two metres long and broken open at the south end. They sit inside a ringfort in County Mayo, perhaps joined once, perhaps sealed against rain or enemies. The stone work is deliberate, the collapse natural, and the hidden part still waits beyond the rubble.

In interior of ringfort (MA118-084001-). Two stone-built chambers; may have been connected originally. Chamber 1 (L 5.7m NW-SE; H 1.5m) largely infilled, contains two air vents. W is Chamber 2 (L c. 22m N-S), collapsed from mid-point to S end. N end inaccessible at time of survey. The above description has been derived from D.
