What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort on a low Offaly hillock, its twenty-nine-metre circle carved from the natural slope rather than built with stone. The land itself seems to have curled inward, creating a defensive ring where human labour may have done little more than reveal what the earth already wanted to become.

On pasture on top of a low hillock in undulating countryside. Circular area (diam 29.5m E-W) defined by a scarp which encloses the low hillock with slight evidence of an external fosse at N. The interior of the ringfort rises to the centre following the natural contour of the hillock. The site has utilised the natural slope of the hillock to form the defences of the ringfort.
