What is recorded here
Mummy and Daddy went to Killymaddy to see Rath. They walked past the sign and stood beside the earthworks. The child touched a flat stone and asked why men built a ring there. Nobody answered because the wind had erased the names of everyone who lived inside it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
