Fulacht Fiadhaigh

In a low-lying marshy area close to a stream. This is a well-preserved subcircular grassed- over mound of earth and stone (N-S 15m, E-W 13.9m, H 0.9m) with a depression (D 3.8m) on NE side. According to local information, it was 'excavated' by Dr T. B. Costello, of Tuam, in 1931-2. Another fulacht fiadh (GA017-113----) lies 200m to WNW.
