Half a kilometre of forgotten road cuts through the north and east walls of the fort, leaving children to run across what may have been a chamber or kitchen. The scarped ring still holds its shape on the hilltop, overlooking dark bogland where the boundary between the seen and unseen grows thin. A school now occupies the centre, filling the ancient hollow with laughter and noise instead of silence.

On a hill summit in grassland overlooking bogland to NW. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (E-W c. 50m) defined by a scarp and external fosse best preserved from SE through S to W. Roads cut the rath along N and E sides. A school is situated in the interior, adjacent to which is a Man-made underground passage (GA046-059001-).
