Megalithic structure in Killoluaig — Report the wrong picture

Killoluaig holds Calluragh-na-beepery, a vanished dolmen remembered only through Delap’s 1911 description. The stones disappeared before modern cameras or rulers arrived, leaving behind a name and a human assumption about death. Perhaps the field swallowed them, perhaps people took them for walls or roadwork. In either case the dead kept their secret while the living continued to imagine the shape of the chamber.

Delap (1911b, 439) stated that 'near Killoluaig burial ground [KE088-011001-]…is Calluragh-na-beepery. This is evidently the remains of a large dolmen'. There are now no visible remains of this structure and the evidence is insufficient to warrant acceptance as a megalithic tomb.
