What is recorded here
Settlement deserted is a settlement deserted, medieval in Killeglan, County Roscommon, Ireland. Loeber believes it occupied the area during the Elizebethan period. The castle remains the only visible structure because the rest of the settlement has disappeared from the landscape.
Loeber (1991, distribution map) is of the opinion that there was a settlement at Killeglan in the Elizebethan period. Other than the castle (RO050-008001-) it was not encountered.
