Fairy fort in Killarue, County Monaghan: an earthen ringfort on the drumlin spine, still marking a lived boundary between people and field. Its grass-covered scarp curves twenty-seven metres along the south-east edge, wide enough to walk, high enough to watch, and old enough to belong before maps. The fort may have housed a family, stored grain, or simply refused to be forgotten.

Located towards the bottom of the SE-facing spine of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. It is represented as an arc of hachures SE-SW only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. An arc of a grass-covered scarp (at S: Wth 4.5m; ext. H 1.45m) survives SE-SW (Chord c. 27m).
