What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland, holding a magnificent view over the Bride valley. Its earthen bank rises nearly two metres, enclosing a grassy dish that slopes gently northward while the land outside drops steeply. The shape suggests human hands, yet local tradition assigns it to fairies, warning that mortal entry invites loss or madness.

In pasture, on N-facing slope; magnificient view over Bride valley to N. Circular area (c. 48m N-S; c. 44.5m E-W) defined by field fence on line of bank (ext. H 1.8m) WSW->NNW; slight rise N->S. Interior slopes to N; steep fall downslope outside N bank. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
