Gallaun was a standing stone on the lower slopes of Mucksna Mountain, overlooking Kenmare Bay, but no visible remains exist today. The 1846 map marked its place in rough pasture, suggesting people once walked past or pointed to it before it vanished. Perhaps it fell, was buried, or simply stopped mattering. Its absence leaves a sharp edge: a name preserved while the stone itself dissolved into forgetting.
