What is recorded here

Killadoon is a quiet area in County Mayo where a hidden crannog may still rest beneath water or soil. The name suggests a small lake dwelling, likely built on wooden stakes to keep people above damp ground and perhaps away from danger. Nothing visible may remain, but the place still carries the idea of a household suspended between land and water.
