Single-arch limestone railway bridge, built c. 1845, carrying disused branch line over road. Rock-faced walls and abutments, round arch with margined voussoirs, and dressed stone soffit to arch.

This bridge forms a group of related structures with the other railway bridges within the town and with the railway station complex to the south. Its form and materials are characteristic of railway bridges of its time. The rock-faced rustication adds to the solid and imposing façade of the bridge and this is further enhanced by the margined voussoirs to the arch.
