What is recorded here

Baysrath is a buried Kilkenny settlement where road works revealed a timber palisade, craft furnaces, domestic pits and a hidden cemetery. The post date of 71 to 215 AD belongs to the enclosure, while the graves may have marked the ground before any fence was set. Later fields and a ringfort cut through the older life, reducing Baysrath to layers beneath an ordinary pasture.
Baysrath is recorded as a archaeological place in County Kilkenny. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
