What is recorded here

Kildalton holds a graveslab, marking one life or a small cluster of deaths beside the town. The stone may have stood in a churchyard, a field edge or a forgotten lane, guiding mourners and passing carts alike. Its exact age and owner have faded from local memory, but the act of carving and burying remains written in the shape of the place.
