What is recorded here

Kilcreevanty holds a wide ribbon of irregular fields beside its nunnery and graveyard, marked by earthen banks rather than rigid lines. The land may have sustained the women who prayed there, while two nearby house foundations suggest neighbours or workers shared the same soil. The boundary curves gently around the sacred place, refusing a formal wall yet keeping the church at the centre of daily life.

Surrounding Kilcreevanty Nunnery (GA029-096001-) and graveyard (GA029-096002-), principally to W and N. An extensive series of earthen banks, many forming irregular fields, covers an area c. 300m N-S by c. 250m E-W. Faint traces of cultivation ridges are visible within a number of them, and the foundations of at least two rectangular houses (GA029-096004- and GA029-096005-) are visible immediately to SW and W of the graveyard. Though some of the boundaries form a gentle arc curving from W to N around the graveyard, no definite trace of a formal ecclesiastical enclosure appears to be present.
