Grave Yd. is a living D-shaped graveyard in County Kilkenny where a medieval church still stands beside headstones from the 18th and 19th centuries. Four rough steps lead from the passing road into its stone-walled yard, suggesting that grief and memory have crossed this threshold long after most such places fell silent. The west-facing slope opens toward distant fields, giving the dead a view that feels less like abandonment and more like continuity.

On a W-facing slope with good views from W-N-NE. A medieval church (KK022-015001-) is located in the NE portion of a roughly D-shaped raised graveyard (dims c. 30m E-W x c. 20m N-S) which is enclosed by a stone wall. A public road runs NW-SE along the SW edge of the graveyard. The graveyard is entered via a gate from the roadside, having ascended four steps which project out of the boundary wall. According to Holahan (1893, 87), ‘Some interments are still made here’ and this is can be seen in the headstones which predominantly date from the 18th and 19th century.
