Holy well in Kellysgrove

Holy well

What is recorded here

Kellysgrove holds a holy well where ritual life once unfolded. The water likely sustained bodies and beliefs long before written records, inviting people to drink, heal or remember. Its exact boundaries remain unrecorded, but the site still belongs to the landscape and imagines itself through every person who pauses beside it.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
