Indicated is a substantial fairy fort on the south bank of the Keerglen River in County Mayo, where a steep river replaces the western earthen wall. Inside its raised subrectangular area stand the wall footings of a house and a rubble-filled depression that may hide an underground passage. The river may have carried warnings, memories or lives into the mountain, while the fort held what needed protecting.

In rough mountainous terrain, situated on the S bank of the Keerglen River. Raised subrectangular area (23.7m NNE-SSW; 18.9m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank, except from W–WNW where it is defined by a steep river bank. In the SW quadrant of the interior are the wall footings of a subrectangular house (MA014-044001-).
