What is recorded here

Kealanine holds a narrow strip of rock where unknown hands cut four crosses, four windmills and several sets of initials. The marks cluster without obvious order, as if someone recorded a game, a boundary or a passing thought before forgetting the meaning. Cobduff mountain still stands above the flat valley, watching the stone keep its secret.

In low-lying flat valley at foot of Cobduff mountain. Finlay (1973, 95) describes an area (l 1.3m; Wth 1m) on rock outcrop containing incised decorations, randomly arranged and including 'straight-lines, four 'x's, four 'chi' or windmill-figures, one of which is enclosed by a U and several sets of initials'.
