What is recorded here

Two adjoining huts crouched in Doire An Aonaigh, waiting for boots, fire smoke and the kind of ordinary life that makes stone walls meaningful. They emerged only when wind-farm surveyors walked the land in 2010, 2011 and 2015, yet the huts themselves belong to a older, quieter time when people shaped shelter to fit the valley rather than forcing the valley to notice them.
During Environmental Impact assessments for the proposed Cleanrath Wind Farm in September 2010, January 2011 and December 2015, a number of sites of archaeological potential were noted, including two adjoining hut sites (see also CO069-095002-).   Compiled by: Anne-Julie Lafaye
