Hut site in An Baile Uachtarach Theas

In E corner of a garden in Ballyoughteragh village. A corbelled hut, circular in plan internally, but D-shaped externally, the lintelled doorway being located in the straight N wall. The walls rise almost vertically to a height of 1.55m internally and 2m externally, but the roof is of corbelled construction, closed by a single slab at a height of 3m above the internal floor level. There are 3 lintelled wall cupboards in the interior, a probable window, now broken away externally, and 2 beam holes of uncertain use. The hut is probably fairly recent in origin. D: 3.5m.
