What is recorded here

Mortons and their descendants held Howth Castle from medieval times through 1973. The tower still stands on Howth Road, its stones marked by a 1650 renovation, a 1738 remodel, and a 1910 attic addition. Four bays and three storeys remain, with a north-east turret, while generations lived inside or passed the gate.
