Donnycarney House was built in the Eighteenth century. The original Donnycarney House where William Basil, the Attorney General lived in 1649 was situated on the opposite side of the Malahide Road on the grounds of the present day Marino (Wren 1983, 26). The exact location of this site is unknown.
