What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1903, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cast-iron octagonal piers having polygonal capping supporting wrought iron-detailed cast-iron gate. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Healthfield House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15703713) with the resulting ensemble not only making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Healthfield House estate, but also clearly illustrating the continued development or "improvement" of the estate by Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Jervis Jervis-White JP (1842-1909).

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
