Test excavations in 1995 revealed a two-phase sequence of reclamation and development of the riverfront from the early 13th century to the early 14th century. On the Fishamble Street frontage excavation revealed a clay floor and masonry wall foundations (Gowen 1996, 19).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
