Half a kilometre above the everyday world, a six-metre earthen wall still circles a space wide enough for thirty houses. The ditch curves like a broken bowl around the north and west, while a four-metre gap faces east as if waiting for someone to walk through. People may have lived there, watched weather come off the sea, or simply kept a boundary the land could remember.

Internal diameter 35m N-S, 36.6m E-W Situated on a rise, this site has a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. This univallate rath consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank c6m wide, raised 1.2m above the interior and 2.8m above the fosse. The fosse, which is U shaped, is evident from the N through W to SE. It is 2.2m wide and 1.2m below the height of the surrounding land. A 4m wide gap to the E provides access to the interior.
