What is recorded here
A sub-rectangular enclosure (diam. c. 70m) identified as the cropmark of a well-defined fosse on aerial photographs (CUCAP BGG017, 16 July 1971 and BGG021, 16 July 1971). The N, E and W sides appear to be straight sided while the S side curves. A field boundary, indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and 1947 revision, kinks out to respect the monument, running roughly N-S along the W edge. A public road runs roughly E-W c. 10-15m N of the enclosure. Between 1839 and 1947 a house was built in the NW angle of the enclosure, with an associated rectangular plot running southward, through the W half of the monument. Also identified as cropmarks are three parallel field boundaries (KK023-043002-) which run for c. 140m NW-SE c. 50m S of the enclosure.
