What is recorded here

Two nineteenth-century crosses still stand beside the Greenan graveyard, marking a place where people laid others to rest before modern boundaries were drawn. They are scheduled, which means the state believes they belong to everyone and must not be erased. The stones have watched carts, weddings, storms and forgetting. They do not need a date to be worthy of protection.
