Graniamore Presbyterian Church

Detached three-bay two-storey double-pile rendered manse, built c. 1875. Single-storey flat-roofed porch projects centrally from east elevation, lean-to return to rear. Hipped slate roofs, clay ridge tiles, yellow brick corbelled chimneystacks, uPVC gutters c. 2000 on painted timber projecting eaves. Unpainted roughcast walling, smooth-rendered plinth, moulded cornice to porch roof, decorative cast-iron railings to edge of porch roof. Square-headed window openings, smooth-rendered reveals, dressed limestone sills, painted one-over-one timber sash windows, four-over-four timber square-headed window to north elevation. Elliptical-headed entrance door opening to porch, limestone step, painted timber door with four-panels and moulded members, plain-glazed sidelights, sunburst fanlight. Lawn to front, paths and yard to rear, smooth-rendered wall fronting main road, decorative wrought-iron gates on smooth-rendered piers. Church to south-east.

This manse, composed on a symmetrical plan, retains most of it original features and materials including timber sash windows, slated hipped roofs and a very fine entrance door screen. The cast-iron porch roof railings are a particularly attractive feature.
