Mortons and others may have built the circular earthworks at Graigacurragh, yet fairy fort remains the local name. The bank rises two and a half metres outside, drops to one and a half inside, and encloses a level patch where mature trees now break the light into moving shadows. That reversal makes the fort less like a damaged boundary and more like a room set into the land, waiting to be entered on its own terms.

On low-lying pasture, ringed by higher ground. Site is incorporated into SW corner of field with field boundaries abutting at NW, N and SE. Roughly-circular area (32.1m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.2m; ext. H 2.5m). Bank, best accessed at NNE, is heavily masked by overgrowth elsewhere and much denuded at NE. Level interior is covered by mature coniferous trees; fallen branches cover much of interior surface. Marshy natural dip adjoins external bank face at E.
