Half of Graddoge’s moated site vanished under quarrying tools, leaving a rectangular shadow where a living defense once stood. The surviving northern banks still frame a graveyard and corn kiln, proving the marshy ground supported both death and daily sustenance. People may have walked the missing southern edge until hunger or profit turned the earth into spoil, erasing the boundary but never the memory of what the water held back.

In low-lying marshy farmland, just S of a small stream. Poorly preserved rectangular moated site (E-W 51m, N-S 43.5m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse best preserved at N. No visible surface trace of S half of the monument survives due to extensive quarrying. A field wall overlies the outer bank at E and NW, and spoil dredged from the stream has been piled up along N side. A gap (Wth 2m) in the inner bank at N may be original. A series of internal divisions, a graveyard (GA044-062001-) and a corn kiln are visible within W half of the interior.
