Indicated is a clearance cairn in County Galway, Ireland, where stones were likely gathered from nearby fields rather than built as a monument. It marks ordinary human labour: clearing land, stacking what resisted the plough, and leaving a small ridge of rock behind. The name gives little away, but the shape suggests patience. People lived around it, breathed wind off Galway Bay, and moved stone until the earth could be used.
