What is recorded here
Attached three-bay three-storey house, built c.1880, now vacant. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls to upper stories and painted smooth rendered wall to ground floor. Square-headed diminishing openings with one-over-one timber sliding sash windows, rendered sills and moulded rendered surrounds to ground and first floors. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door, overlight and moulded render surround.
An attractive balanced façade maintaining its early character and form. Particularly noteworthy are the diminishing timber sliding sash windows and distinctive render surrounds. The overall scale and composition of this building contributes positively to the streetscape of Skibbereen.
