What is recorded here

Cloughaun Dallaun is a substantial upright stone near Walshestown, recorded by James Grove White between 1905 and 1925. Its name roughly translates as the stone of the dallauns, making it either a leader among several markers or simply a very literal local label. The stone stands just under ten metres west of an old burial ground, suggesting a relationship between the living and the dead that no longer explains itself.
