Indicated

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined fairy fort in County Limerick, its earthen bank broken open for stone while dense vegetation claims the middle. It sits beside a dry-stone wall and a wooded valley, large enough for a household but stripped of its clear shape. The missing bank suggests people took what they needed, leaving behind a circular ghost rather than a finished room.
In pasture, on gently undulating terrain which dips immediately to W into wooded valley. Circular area (diam. 27.5m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.1m; ext. H 1.85m) NNE->NW. Bank and part of interior quarried out NW->NNE. This area is abutted by dry-stone field wall at either end. Interior is covered by dense overgrowth and littered with loose stone.
